Located in a picturesque mountain town, this project ceremoniously welcomes travelers with an iconic bridge - a modern interpretation of the historic trestle bridges and mine buildings of the region. The ground plain is given over to a community garden educating the public on how to use local, hardy and drought-resistant planting schemes. Functionally, the arrival sequence can be explored by three means, nature path, stairs, and elevator, and connects the town’s main street to its railroad station almost three stories below.
